Coupon Jargon & Abbreviations

Sunday Newspaper Insert Abbreviations:

GM = General Mills

PG = Procter and Gamble

RP = Red Plum

SS = SmartSource

*Date for insert is typically in very small print on the spine of the insert.

 

CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid Jargon:

ECB = Extra Care Bucks – CVS reward program

RR = Register Reward – Walgreens reward program

+UP Reward = Rite Aid reward program

*You will need to sign up for each of these programs.  The store “money” has to be used within 2 weeks or it will expire.

IVC = Instant Value Coupon – found in the monthly Walgreens EasySaver booklet

 

Target Jargon

Cartwheel = a Target App that has coupons you can stack with other Target coupons and Manufacturer’s coupons

Target Mobile Coupons = sign up to get Target coupons sent to you by text.

 

Meijer Jargon

Mperks = on-line coupons you “clip” and use at check out at Meijer. 

You need to go on-line to create an account.  You can have one account per cell phone number.

 

Other Abbreviations:

B1G1 or BOGO = Buy One, Get One Free

B2GI = Buy Two, Get One Free

EX or X = Expires On

FAR = Free After Rebate

GC = Gift Card

IP = Internet Printable

MC or MQ = Manufacturer’s coupon

MIR = Mail In Rebate

OOP = Out of Pocket
